Remedio Varos en el Museo de Arte Moderno

Have you ever seen the surrealist paintings of frail girls with heart-shaped faces, huge eyes and spun-gold hair, waves, ships and forests? Did you know Ramedios Varos moved to Mexico after living in France and Spain? She fled to Paris during the Spanish Civil War and left France due to the Nazi occupation to come to Mexico at the end of 1941. Also she was friend of Diego Rivera and Frida Kalo. I ignored so much about her and her work, but as many of you I easily recognized her peculiar art.

This summer there is an exhibition dedicated to her centenary anniversary in the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City.

Go visit it!
